Frielinghaus gives master courses, directs student concerts, and serves on juries. Each year, he brings together musician friends as the Frielinghaus Ensemble on a chamber music tour through Germany and Switzerland. At the IMF, he heads the Mendelssohn Festival Strings ensemble and will give the opening concert on September 12.
