Ryoko Morooka

Ryoko Morooka, of Japan, studied Chinese History at Kyoto University before coming to Germany, where she studied Organ with Ulrich Bremsteller at the University for Music and Drama in Hanover and participated in international master courses. Along with her work as an organist and as a Lecturer at the Music University in Hanover, she gives concerts in Europe and Japan. Since 1995, she has participated in foreign tours as a member of the Baroque Brass of London. As the Assistant of Konrad Junghaenel at Hanover’s State Opera, she took part in the Purcell Baroque opera project. As a specialist in performing on the harmonium and as an organist, she has taken part in various radio and record productions. A portrait of her, Kleine Schwester der Orgel – Ryoko Morooka (little sister of the organ), was recently broadcast by Berlin-Brandenburg radio.
