Arnaud Sussmann won the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2009 and has been a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center since 2006. Born in Strasbourg in 1984, he trained at the Paris Conservatory and at the Julliard School. He has won several international competitions, including the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition and the Vatelot/Rampal Violin Competition. In 2006, he was honored with a Starling Fellow, enabling him to teach for two years as an assistant to Itzhak Perlman. He currently teaches at Stony Brook University on Long Island and is the Co-Artistic Director of the International Music Program of Music@Menlo and the Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach. He gives solo concerts and performs all over the world with orchestras and chamber music ensembles, playing with the most important conductors and musicians of our day. He has repeatedly performed at music festivals and has released several albums, most recently with works by Beethoven, Bloch, Fauré, and Mendelssohn.
